May’s Memorial Day Weekend begins (for some) May 21-25.
Region 6 and clubs gather to join forces with Lakeview BLM for a Saturday work party.
Saturday’s Region 6 Delegate Meeting and a Potluck.
Sunday is the Fun Run fashioned after a Poker Run.
Pacific Northwest 4 Wheel Drive Association President John Vandergrift,
Tread Lightly’s Grace Schuessler, and
David McGee from the Lakeview BLM will be in attendance.
These work parties and fun runs account the public with the agencies.
Always a great thing.
Oregon State Parks and Recreation’s OHV trailer and training materials
plan on being there to give the tests for the youth permits.
Just a reminder: our volunteer hours are documented for the agency’s benefit and the associations.
Hours, miles, names, and equipment volunteered by us help to keep OHV alive and well on public lands.
The weekend events start May 23 as a 9:00 am work party with the BLM.
The Region 6 Meeting around 2:00 pm and the potluck follows.
Sunday’s Fun Run will require 5 stationary check points and one rover.
The event starts at 9 with the stations heading to the dunes and ending at 3:00 pm with the winners being announced.
The money collected from the run helps to finance the poster program that the Bureau of Land Management and Region 6 offer each spring to the entire 5th grade classes in Lake County.
